The Error
When you want to use our launcher, you might encounter an error, referring to the MSINET.OCX file or any dependencies to it. MSINET.OCX is a file required by many old application in order to parse HTML pages. The launcher uses this file to display our lordofmu webpage (or alternative website with sound) selected by the staff. When it gives you this error, it's because your OS (win7 32/64, win 8) can't find the MSINET.OCX file referred to by our launcher. This is a beta thing, we'll fix this in a future version of our launcher or if we create a packaged installer.
The Solution
FOR WIN 7/64 AND WIN 8
(The following info is from this link angrybyte.com/windows-hacks/msinet-ocx-for-64-bit-windows-7-vista/)
1. Copy the MSINET.OCX file from your client folder to your "C:\windows\syswow64"
folder.
2. Open your Command line interface in windows (start or metro > cmd) with administrator rights (right click the command prompt and hit “run as administrator”)
3. In the command prompt, type the following
4. A messagebox will appear to tell you the DLL registration succeeded. Your launcher will now behave properly!
FOR WIN 7/32
1. Copy the MSINET.OCX file from your client folder to your "C:\windows\system32" folder.
2. Open your Command line interface in windows (start button > run > cmd (right click, open as administrator)
3. In the command prompt, type the following
4. A messagebox will appear (or not), but test your launcher, it should work.
Glad to have helped. Let us know if this didn't work out for you!
